Colorado Heart & Body Imaging strongly recommends Bioslife 2
!
The new national cholesterol guidelines (NCEP ATP 3) emphasizes the
importance to all Americans to get additional fiber in their diets.
The recommendation is 25-35 grams per day-yet most of us only get 15
grams or less from our usual food sources. We believe all of our patients
would benefit from a special mixture of soluble and insoluble fibers
in Bioslife 2 made by Rexall. It uniformly lowers cholesterol and triglyceride
levels, helps regular blood sugar and helps keep your appetite in check.
In addition, for patients who have little or no plaque on the heartscan,
but still have high cholesterol, we believe that such a non-pharmacologic
approach to lipid lowering is an ideal solution. Remember, your risk
of heart attacks lower about 3% for every 1% lowering of serum cholesterol.
We have some important recommendations:
- Begin Bioslife slowly and mix it will juice-perhaps start with 1/2
pack per day for a few days and move to 1 full pack twice a day after
a couple weeks. Drink 8 glasses of fluids per day.
- Do not take bioslife at times you are taking medications or vitamins
as extra fiber can inhibit their full absorption.
- Get your complete cholesterol panel measured at our center for our
modest price before taking Bioslife. After you have been taking Bioslife
for six months, get it re-measured for $10.00 to see the difference.
