CHBI and Your Doctor
We invite patients to visit our center on a self-referred
basis for preventive screening. We also encourage doctors to learn more
about the recent advances in preventive cardiology and imaging in order
to properly refer patients to our center.
Studies have proven that the coronary scan by EBT is the
best way for doctors to make correct decisions about lifelong preventive
therapy for individual patients. In addition, our test can help interpret
other cardiac tests and assist in the diagnoses of late obstructive
disease. In fact, our center can even perform noninvasive cardiac angiograms
we are now encouraging cardiologists to learn this procedure.
Our medical director, Dr. James Ehrlich, routinely lectures
to physicians in Colorado and worldwide about the correct use and interpretation
of our tests and has published materials including a chapter in a recent
textbook for physicians. He is a founder of the Society of Atherosclerosis
Imaging and keeps current in all trends in this field.
He is available to any doctor who has questions about
the results of your test. We would prefer that you review the results
of your test with your own doctor. If you do not have a doctor who understands
this area of medicine, we would be glad to refer you to a local expert.
