"Virtual" colonoscopy

becomes a "reality" at Colorado Heart and Body Imaging in December 2001. We are introducing this service using the very top 3D workstation developed by Viatronix, a company of scientists and doctors from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. In Colorado, we are working with top radiologists and gastroenterologists who are exceedingly impressed with the accuracy and advantages of virtual colonoscopy using the Viatronix system.

• and a complete examination (100%) of the surface of the colon.

Bone density—

The most accurate and sensitive method to detect changes in bone density (especially for older patients and those on certain medications) is now uniquely available at CHBI. It is called QCT bone densitometry. If you are getting a "Body Scan", add this procedure for a very low additional charge.

Non-imaging based services include:

We now offer a packet of BioShield-Radiation Multiple Antioxidant Micronutrients.

They are dietary supplements furnished by Colorado Heart and Body Imaging to address the small amount of radiation exposure received during these exams.  Our medical director is the president of the Society for Responsible Preventive Imaging and has taken every effort to make sure the benefit of our imaging is far exceeding any small risk from radiation exposure.

These micronutrients are entirely elective and if you wish to take them, request them at the time you make your appointment and we will mail you the capsules for you to take an hour prior to the procedure.
